A detailer cleans what you can see. That is not the same as decontamination.

Why a car wash is not enough

A vehicle that has carried blood, body fluids or a body is a biohazard, and it stays one after it looks clean. Fluid runs into seat seams, down between the cushion and the frame, into the carpet pad, into the seat belt webbing and the floor channels. A detailer has no reason to look there and no obligation to treat it.

The risk is to whoever gets in next. Your officer, your paramedic, your driver, your buyer. And a concealed needle under a seat does not care how shiny the dashboard is.

We treat the vehicle as a contaminated space, work to the same written procedures we use in a house, and remove regulated waste through a licensed hauler.

We come to the vehicle

Most jobs are done where the vehicle sits — your yard, your bay, your lot. Nothing needs transporting and nothing needs taking off the road longer than the work takes.

Assessment is free, and we can quote from photographs if it's quicker.

What we handle

  • Blood and body fluids
  • Decomposition in a vehicle
  • Concealed needles and sharps
  • OC spray and CS residue
  • Vomit, urine and faeces
  • Communicable disease exposure

What you get back

  • Full decontamination, not a surface clean
  • Odour treated at the source
  • Regulated waste removed with a paper trail
  • Photographs before and after
  • A written completion record for your file

Who we do this for

Law enforcement and EMS

Patrol cars, transport vans, ambulances and fire apparatus. Prisoner transport, trauma calls, OC and CS residue, and needles in the back seat. We can work to a standing arrangement so a unit never waits.

Towing and recovery

A vehicle recovered from a fatality or an unattended death is a biohazard sitting in your yard, and it is a liability until it is dealt with. We come to the lot.

Dealerships and rental fleets

Trade-ins and returns that cannot go back on the line as they are. Decomposition, hoarded vehicles, animal waste and smoke. A car you were going to write off is often cheaper to decontaminate.

Rideshare and taxi drivers

Your car is your income. A contaminated vehicle you cannot drive costs you every day it sits. Same-day where we can.

School districts and transit

Buses and service vehicles after a medical incident, with documentation for your records.

Private owners

If someone died in a family car, or a vehicle has been lived in, you do not have to deal with that yourself. Call and we will tell you honestly whether it is worth doing.

What actually happens

We look first

Seams, rails, under and behind seats, the carpet pad, belt webbing, vents and the trunk. We tell you what we find before we start and what it will cost.

Sharps come out first

Before anything is moved or vacuumed, we recover needles and sharps by hand tool into a rigid container. Nobody reaches blindly under a seat.

Remove what cannot be saved

Saturated carpet, padding, seat foam and trim come out when they have to. We tell you in advance rather than after.

Decontaminate and treat the odour

EPA-registered product on every affected surface, then odour treatment at the source rather than a fragrance over the top.

Regulated disposal

Everything contaminated leaves as regulated medical waste through a licensed hauler, with documentation.

You get a record

Photographs before and after and a written completion report, so there is a file entry rather than a verbal assurance.

Fleet accounts

If vehicles come up often enough that you would rather not get a quote every time, we will set up a standing arrangement — agreed rates, priority response, and one invoice a month instead of a dozen.

That suits departments, tow yards and dealer groups where the work is predictable even when the timing is not.

Call and ask about a fleet account.
